Post Graduate Diploma in School Education & Management( PGDSLM )

The first of these is intended for those who aspire to be the leaders in the field of school education, where there is great demand of Principals, Vice-Principals, Heads of departments, Headmasters etc. Those with experience of school education working as teachers can apply for this course. The course is for 10 months duration.

Classes will be held on every Sunday for three hours. Course Material prepared by Indira Gandhi National Open University and also by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's K.M. Munshi Institute will be distributed. Examination will be conducted by IGNOU who will also award the Diploma of the University. Expert guidance/lectures and counseling will be provided in Saturday classes while learning material will be provided to the students in all the Saturday sessions.

Those who are not interested in obtaining a Diploma but would like to acquire knowledge and skills in regard to all aspects of school Management such as provisions of Education Act and Rules, Financial Management and admission procedures, examinations, planning & organizing curriculum, school governance can also join the Course.

Seminars and workshops relating to important theme of educational leadership will also be organized from time to time and those admitted to the Course will have the benefit of participation (free of cost ) in these seminars and workshops.

Diploma in Creative Writing in English

In view of the explosive growth of Journalism and Mass Communication both in Print and other media there is great demand for creative use of English. Bhavan has considerable expertise in this area and through expert teachers and expert assistance, interested individuals can develop their writing potential and creative exposure.

Bhavan already offers Courses in Journalism and Mass Communication and creative writing in English.

This would be an additional programme offered through partnership with IGNOU and those offering this Course will be awarded Diploma by the Indira Gandhi National Open University.. All Graduates are eligible to join this course.
