Palmistry, the art and science of hand reading, is popularly known as Hasta Samudrik Shastra in Indian tradition and Chirosophy/chirology in western world. The Indian tradition holds that the sea God; Samudra, first invented this divine vidya. The word chirology or chirosophy originated from the Greek word ‘kherir’ which means ‘the hand’. The real name of cheiro, world’s most colourful and successful palmist, was Count Louis Hamon. Cheiro literally means ‘The Palmist’.
According to Aristotle, the hand is “the organs of organs, the instrument of instruments.” It is the perfect instrument God has ever created. In the language of computer, Mind is the Hard Disk and our Hand is the Monitor. Whatever is going on in the conscious and subconscious mind; is depicted on the hand in the form of hand structure, lines and minor markings.
